Uber Vouchers
If your organization provides ground transportation benefits, you may receive an Uber voucher for rides during your trip. Vouchers are pre-paid by your organization and include restrictions based on travel dates, locations, and policy.
Overview
Uber vouchers provide:
- Prepaid transportation for business-related travel
- Coverage for approved pickup and dropoff locations (typically your airport, hotel, and event venue)
- Automatic restrictions based on your trip dates and your organization’s policy
- Spending limits set by your organization
How Vouchers Work
Your Uber voucher is created automatically when you complete your travel bookings in Juno. You’ll see it on your dashboard once it’s ready.
Redeeming Your Voucher
Before you can use your voucher for rides, you need to redeem it and add it to your Uber account:
On your phone: Tap the “Redeem Voucher” button on your dashboard. This opens the redemption link directly, which adds the voucher to your Uber app.
On your computer: When you click “Redeem Voucher,” a QR code appears. Scan it with your phone’s camera to open the redemption link. You can also have the link sent to your phone via text message.
Once redeemed, the voucher is added to your Uber account and will be automatically applied to eligible rides — you don’t need to enter a code each time you request a ride.
When Your Voucher Becomes Usable
After you redeem your voucher, it activates automatically when your travel dates begin. You’ll be able to use it for rides throughout your trip. Once your travel dates end, the voucher expires and can no longer be used.
Viewing Eligible Locations
Your dashboard shows which pickup and dropoff locations are covered by your voucher. Typically, this includes your event venue, hotel, and airport. Check “View eligible locations” on your dashboard for the full list.
Voucher Restrictions
Depending on your host’s policy, your voucher may have:
Time restrictions:
- Active only during your authorized travel dates
- Expires automatically when your trip ends
Location restrictions:
- Limited to approved pickup and dropoff areas
- Typically includes event venue, hotel, and airport
Spending limits:
- Maximum amount per ride
- Total voucher value limit
Vehicle types:
- Specific ride types allowed (UberX, Uber Black, etc.)
Voucher restrictions are set by your organization and cannot be modified. Rides outside the approved locations, dates, or vehicle types will be charged to your personal payment method in the Uber app.
Troubleshooting
Voucher Not Applying to Rides
If your voucher isn’t being applied when you request a ride:
- Confirm the voucher shows as redeemed or active in your Juno dashboard
- Check that the current date and time fall within your voucher’s active period
- Verify your pickup and dropoff locations are within the approved areas
- Make sure the ride type you selected is allowed by your organization’s policy
- Check whether the voucher balance has been exhausted
